Jacksonville University is training students to become top speech language pathologists who are knowledgeable and skilled in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, voice, swallowing, language, and cognitive disorders. Under the direction of experienced faculty, students will gain the skills needed to assess and treat individuals who are in need of speech therapy. Our program:

  • Offers two modalities: full-time, in-person (5 semesters) or part-time, online (8 semesters).
  • Led by faculty that possess extensive clinical knowledge and research backgrounds.
  • Maintains valuable partnerships with top healthcare organizations and schools.

We are also partnered with Sant'anna Institute to offer Pathways to Speech Language Pathology: a MS in Speech-Language Pathology pre-requisite program. Coursework is completed online with a culminating field and study experience in Sorrento, Italy.

New Modality Available

MS in Speech-Language Pathology - Distance Education


Jacksonville University has added a new modality for the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program. Ideal for those needing part-time study and adaptable schedules, our eight-semester Distance Education program supports your journey to becoming a skilled speech-language pathologist. Students will have the ability to attend online classes, then gain hands-on experience with full-time clinical placements in your last two semesters. Courses will be virtual and synchronous on an Eastern Standard Time schedule. This flexible, cohort-based program is comprised of 60 credit hours of academic coursework with labs and two full-time placements in the final two semesters. .

Applications for both the in-person and distance MS in Speech Language Pathology should be submitted through CSDCAS. Please refer to the Admissions Requirements for more information on how to apply for these programs.

  • 3 Letters of Recommendation 
  • GRE Scores (optional)

All international students must meet CSD department minimum TOEFL score requirements regardless of the language in which the undergraduate program was completed. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based test (TOEFL PBT) or 80 on the internet-based version (TOEFL iBT) is required for admission.

***Please note: Jacksonville University requires applicants to submit an application through the CSDCAS portal. Applicants do not need to complete a separate JU application.
