How to Apply

Undergraduate Admissions Process

1. Apply online through the JU Application or the Common Application

    • Freshman: You have never attended univeristy before and this will be your first time
    • Transfer: You are or have attended univeristy, but have not graduated
    • Second-Degree Student: You already have a Bachelor's Degree.

2. Upload all required materials

    • High School/Secondary School Transcripts
      • Can be unofficial for the review process., however, if you choose to attend JU, you must submit official transcripts. These must be sent by your school counselor to documents@826306.com. If you email the transcripts, they will be considered unofficial.
    • Proof of English Proficiency
    • Foreign Credit Evaluation (required for transfer and second-degree students)
    • Essay
    • SAT and ACT Scores (optional)
      • If submitting scores, score reports must be sent directly from the testing organizations.
    • Letters of Recommendation (optional)

3. Once the Office of Admissions has all your materials, please allow 3-4 weeks for your application to be reviewed and a decision rendered.

    • You can check what materials are missing by logging back into your Application Portal, so please ensure you write down your login information after submitting!
    • The review process cannot begin until all required documents are submitted.

Important Notes

  • Documents received by Jacksonville University cannot be returned to you.
  • You must enroll full-time each semester (full-time is considered 12 credits or more).
  • All undergraduate persons are in-person on campus; we do not offer online undergraduate programs.
  • Students holding F-2 visas cannot attend Jacksonville University on a full-time basis.
  • All international students on F-1 or J-1 visas must provide a Financial Guarantee to show evidence of sufficient funds available for their students before their Form I-20 can be issued.
